There'due south a spelling error of the backwards "ii" in room 32
I plant everything nifty except level 29. Also many interpretations for me. Still, crawly game.
Some of the puzzles were a bit TOO cryptic and vague. I'grand not that good at solving puzzles, but I look at the solutions for some of them, and I however don't really come across how I was supposed to effigy them out on my own. Still, this is an extremely polished and clever game, and I can see the amount of effort that was put in it.
Another clever idea Bart, liked it ;)
Er, on level 9,
how long practise I have to not move? None of the letters are lighting up. I feel like I'm missing something very light-headed.
della,
Mine took most iii seconds of waiting for the first letter and possibly ten seconds total for the whole sign. It doesn't accept very long at all to work.
I don't think it was the author'south intent to spell the words exactly backwards, given that two is "tow" and four is "fuor".
Small walkthrough correction for level 27:
Actually pressing the quaternary button 4 times is enough to pass the level :)
[D'oh! Stock-still, thank you :) -Trinn]
This right hither, is what I'thou looking for. Kudos to the game author. Original, Intuitive and kept me going all the way to 40.
Bart always comes upwards with the appurtenances. It's like his Mill Balls merely for escape-the-room games.
Clean graphics, simple game navigation, challenging levels.
After playing all the games, this one turns out to be my favourite.
Another BB game keeps me entertained till the finish.
For me there were two points. Showtime, there were a lot of recurring themes. Once you lot'd done i, the others were obvious:
Press a button to lite up, printing a different one to move it. Rinse. Repeat.
Number Anagrams.
The answer is this level.
Secondly, the notes sometimes gave abroad besides much, fe I would accept made 'four knock upward', just say '4 up'.
Notwithstanding, that aside it was entertaining, and a well made game. I can see this being hard to trounce.
Oh, and lvl nine made me express mirth.
I played this while eating my lunch, did level 8, decided to have a mouthful or two of food, then heard the door open. Saw the 'don't motility' sign and smiled.
Oof. Peradventure it'due south due to using Chrome? But yep Level ix:
Cypher is happening. Not within three seconds, not inside 60 seconds. Oh dear.
Level ix isn't working for me either. I've waited at least a infinitesimal or 2 & goose egg happened. BTW, I'm using Internet Explorer.
Re: level 9
I had the same problem the beginning time around. And then, I stopped the game and came back to it later. This fourth dimension, knowing what was coming up, I didn't move my mouse at all after clicking the "next level button" to exit level eight. Then, it progressed very smoothly.
I don't call back information technology has to do the the browser, though. Different results on aforementioned browser (Firefox).
^ Exactly, how long did you wait? Possibly I'1000 only being impatient.
I'm using Firefox and yes, level ix nothing happens no matter how long I wait. I even tried restarting it.
To everyone that had a problem with level 9, I couldn't reproduce the problem, simply I think I know what was causing it. There is now a new version online that should solve information technology.
Could someone that had a problem with level 9 confirm this please? Thanks!
(note: to verify yous are playing the fixed version of the game, there is now a small 'v1.one' indication in the opening screen with the ad in the big pink ball)
Isn't difficult, isn't original. It fifty-fifty repeats itself.
It's notwithstanding extremely fun. :D
Well Bart, you fixed the glitch, but I had to start over from level one. Just thought you lot'd like to know. Cheers for fixing it.
On an unrelated note, how practice I reply to specific comments similar elle did?
Yes, working now. Thanks!
Reply commenting is shortly an admin-only function. I hope to introduce it to everyone else soon. Thanks for your patience. :)
Very good game, wish there were more levels! Did have to await at the walkthrough for some of them, though. Anyhow, expert luck, Bart, and thanks for the bird!
Thomas.
I agree with JD Peach...not original, repeats itself, all the same fun to play. I found the puzzles as well easy...from a person that always finds games hard. Information technology's not truly an "escape" game in its purest form, more than similar "Play" than any betoken-and-click escape game.
The puzzles were by and large iterations of the aforementioned thing and equally a result easy but it became nigh relaxing to just get into the groove of solving them. Kind of a Hoshi Saga super-light, merely not equally technically avant-garde. Could have washed a bit more with information technology and made it less on-the-nose in tying into the escape theme, but it was uncomplicated and fun.
That was a really disappointing entry from bart bonte. Extremely unoriginal - it was essentially roooooms, but with terrible, repetitive puzzles.
I normally like the games from this programmer, but this was really rather poor.
I concord that information technology's stuff that we've seen before in say games similar 100 floors - just I honestly don't meet anything bad or incorrect with that. Peculiarly when Barte puts his own special bear on to it. It was a very smart move to limit it to forty, but I exercise acknowledge it might accept been funner if there was some inventory that you may or may non have to interact with.
Expert Luck!
What's simple on the surface might be quite clever in its experimentation. I wonder if this was not Bonte trying to limit players with these puzzles as much equally it was the designer limiting himself and then having fun with the puzzles he could create with just "escape" and a few buttons.
While we've seen Doooors and 100 Floors before, the environments in the rooms of those games could change almost dramatically. This game sticks to the aforementioned few ingredients and so does everything possible to mix those few things up each circular.
Almost similar Ted Allen was in the background calling out "12 levels to go. Anything not on the game will not reach the judges after that."
I concord, I would've preferred for the puzzles to exist more than tricksy and varied, just I actually did enjoy that certain less-is-more style that is unmistakably Bart Bonte.
I started out actually liking this one. While it may not be original, it does manage to feel fresh compared to a lot of the other entries in this competition.
That said, by the time I got to level 25 I was bored. I couldn't assistance not escaping (pun not intended, only I'll have information technology) the feeling that I'd seen everything the game had to offer. This feeling started earlier, probably effectually level 10 or so, just I pushed through because I enjoyed the feel of the game. By 25 I was done.
From reading the comments I seem to be in the minority, but for me this game only doesn't milk shake things up often plenty to stay interesting for 40 levels. It may be there'southward something astonishing waiting for me deeper into the game, but I just can't bring myself to go along going.
I exercise really like the presentation, with the trivial bird flying around. It's very make clean and nice to look at. All in all a very good entry, only not i that kept me engaged all the way through.
Thanks for sharing and good luck with the competition. Looks similar yous've managed to connect with a lot of people on this one.
Very Bonte
Very Skillful
elementary do able and just very neatly done
I don't know how do pass level 27!!
Annotate how you pass it when you get this!!
Howdy, Wesley. You tin find the solution to that level in the walkthrough above the comments.
Bonte, you're a genius. Now get away from here!!
At the very get-go level my first thought was that
there was some pattern to Mr. Birdy's skittering over the letters I was supposed to decipher
Then I realized I was vastly overthinking it and breezed through the 40 levels. I estimate playing likewise many puzzle games ends upwards twisting your mind to expect the worst.
Then, so, piece of cake mini-puzzles are non really my cup of tea, and I hold with the repetitiveness criticism. Mr. Birdy was cute, though.
aye. i similar this. and i have realised how fun information technology is to colour in digital messages/numbers. i remember this is the best one, but arent you like a famous person? i thought this game contest was for unknowns? anyhow, its the all-time one, thanks :)
This game is very nicely done. I particularly liked that each puzzle is short and to the bespeak. Virtually puzzles aren't as well hard, just two that I needed aid for. Also, the petty bird has a very unique Bonte touch, and the interface is very make clean, which only adds to the game.
The only possible effect I have is the repetition in the theme of the puzzles, equally if the creator ran out of ideas for puzzles. Luckily, information technology affects only a couple of puzzles, and then it is not a major consequence for me. Merely perhaps information technology would have been better to reduce the number of puzzles to, say, xxx.
Given the limited amount of time for creating games for the contest, v stars from me.
Much enjoyed! Thanks!
Guess I needed a inkling-by-four considering the two levels I had problems with were 27 with the 4x4 and over again in 37- got the first iii letters by accident and so couldn't figure out the 4x4. :P
Loved the trivial bird; wished birds flew out of my workplace equally quickly as the yellow bird in this game!
Far from the all-time I've seen from Bonte. Contains about 4 or 5 tricks that are reheated and served again about ten or 8 times respectively. Couldn't exist bothered not to look at the walkthrough.
This was great!!
I merely had trouble in a few spots ... I don't know if I would ever have gotten 25 without a walkthrough. I was overthinking it ...
PS: Deplorable if this is harsh, simply I always find it *incredible* that so many people experience compelled to put their two cents in (i.east., bash the developer) when (i) they're playing a gratis game and (2) they probably couldn't design anything remotely as practiced themselves ... ??
I liked it! I idea it was very original, and it scored just correct on the swear-o-meter, in that profanity escaped (pun intended) my lips several times (just fewer than 40), but not and so many times as to affright the cat. Bravo!
@Lynne ...other than the fact that this was presented equally office of a competition, where critique and criticism is to be expected, especially in comparison to other games of the genre?
Hello Lynn,
Equally Vulpisfoxfire pointed out, this game was part of our Casual Gameplay Blueprint Competition #ten, which is why you see so many people putting in their two cents. They're not trying to bash, just offer feedback that, near likely, goes with their voting.
That said, we welcome comments on all the games we characteristic. Thanks, also, for sharing your thoughts! It helps us reviewers to know what members of the JIG customs like, and why yous similar it, so we can keep finding games that you lot'll savor. :)
I enjoyed playing this game. Not every bit much as I enjoyed the Factory Balls games, just it was yet a pleasant experience.
I was kind of hoping that there would exist something a little more unexpected in the levels. For example,
Using the birdy as a clue or clickable, or prying off a alphabetic character from "escape" to use every bit some sort of crowbar tool to get the door open.
Guess that would be the sort of escape game I'd make if I could brand them though. Where you'd do a puzzle to find an axe and simply chop through the wall or something :D
@Lynne
And fifty-fifty without the contest: why would I limit what I have to say about a game to only the positive feedback? If a game makes an impression - be it a good i, a bad one, or as is by and large the case, a mixed one - I might equally well exist honest about it. I think any developer would welcome both the positive and negative things that people who play their games run across.
I don't think the bird was "with me"
I call up I am the bird. It all makes sense now!
I was actually quite disappointed by how easy this was. Information technology was definitely a example of quantity over quality. It was notwithstanding a fun game, but of the 40 levels to escape, there were only mayhap fifteen that required a unique strategy to complete. The residuum were copy cats
Style too easy and manner too long. I really didn't like this game. I kept plugging away because I was expecting some Bonte magic to first happening at some bespeak, but information technology never did.
For i thing, the setting is terribly dull. All the rooms wait the same and in that location is a strong lack of ambrosial animals. And more importantly, the puzzles are horrible. The solutions are so similar and range from mind numblingly like shooting fish in a barrel to ridiculously unintuitive (4x knock upwardly, yep?)
And finally, it was way likewise long. Most Bonte games have 25 levels or so, which is just right. 25 doesn't get out you aching for more (similar ten or fifteen would) but doesn't bore you stiff or strength the author to totally run out of ideas.
The setting implies that the player is familiar with the Escape Game as a trope, but anyone who has played even a few escape games would find these puzzles to be unbelievably like shooting fish in a barrel and unimaginative. Some of the puzzles are fifty-fifty used more than than once (anagrams of numbers.)
I was really expecting better from this developer. Fifty-fifty the fine art is actually poor considering the loftier graphics quality in his other games. Maybe it was Armor that messed this up (wouldn't surprise me.) Don't waste your time on this.
